We all care for and share in the well being of each Corgi that graces our lives
We started our journey in 1996, when we aquired Bailey. She was with a family who just wasn’t ready for a puppy. As we grew to to love and appreciate her, it wasn’t long before we knew another Corgi was a must. That’s when Kobe entered our lives
Kobe began my interest in showing in the conformation ring. Kobe was shown for a year, where he earned quite a collection of Reserve Wins. Kobe is retired and spends a good portion of his day cuddling and playing with Bailey.
About the same time Kobe was ending his show career, we met Floyd- Ch Brynlea It’s All About Me, a beautiful Sable looking for a friend to show him. His owner Lois Kay and I decided he should come here to Wynfox as our quest to begin his show career. Floyd finished easily and returned home. Floyd was the first Corgi I championed.
While all of this was very exciting, and I was learning much about the breed and showing, I longed for that special bitch to start my own breeding program. Over the years, I met many breeders, read many books, studied many pedigree lines, attended many seminars on the subjects of breeding, whelping, genetics, puppy pediatrics, structure, and choosing Dams & Sires. I even helped other breeders with their litters. I started my search for a quality bitch in 2002. One year later, my husband & I were blessed with a a beautiful puppy.
Meeting Donna Gilbert was both a joy and an honor. Her friendship has changed my life. She entrusted us with a beautiful puppy that was the beginning of Wynfox. Her name is CH MILESTONE DOUBLES PARTNER, we call her Serena. We are thrilled and grateful that Donna allowed Serena to live with us. Serena completed her championship on March 23, 2006. She has whelped 3 litters, providing us with the future of Wynfox. Serena was a fabulous mother and is now retired form the whelping box. You can expect to see Serena showing again as a Veteran.
2004 brought another Milestone corgis to our home. CH MILESTONE SPYGLASS HILL was bred by Donna Gilbert and together we have shown him to his championship. Skip is now retired and happily living in N.Y. with his forever family.
In July of 2006, Wynfox whelped into the world, our first litter of puppies. The first to earn his championship under the WYNFOX name was Pierce - CH WYNFOX DOUBLE O SEVEN. Pierce finished, earning all points from the Bred By class and with 4 majors. His sister WYNFOX DOUBLE LATTE is currently showing. She has already picked up one of her majors and has a Best of Breed win. Click on their names to view their web pages.
In July of 2008, Serena blessed us with her last litter. Remaining here at WYNFOX is a beautiful male CH WYNFOX CAPTAIN HENRY ST. JAMES, we call him Logan. At 16 months old Logan was awarded Best of Breed and then went on to win a Herding Group 3, all from the Bred By Exhibitor class. Click on his name to see his web page.
November 2009 brought Lily’s 1st litter. 4 girls and 3 boys graced our home. Lily was a fabulous mother and the puppies grew on very well. Macy has stayed on to carry forward the Wynfox name.
Our future is definately Corgis. We are excited about what is to come. We will be updating this site often, so join us as we reach for the stars and have some fun!
