I am a small hobby breeder, planning only one or two litters per year. Because of my limited breeding, I am very selective in the breeding process, choosing only the best studs to compliment our ladies.
All our corgis are tested for vWD, Hips OFA certified, and eyes CERF’d. While a genetic test has been developed for identifying dogs carrying the mutated gene predisposing dogs to the risk of DM, the circumstances in which a dog actually develops the disease is still unknown. Researchers are working to identify the trigger/triggers involved in bringing about the onset of DM. At this time I do use the test in identifying which of my corgis may carry this gene. It will take many generations to work thru managing this gene’s occurrence. Research shows that dogs who are at risk are not necessarily developing the disease. All breeding decisions at Wynfox consider all aspects of the 2 corgis involved, evaluating them in whole, with an eye toward the future of the breed.

Inquires about puppies and adult corgis are always welcome. All of our corgis enjoy only the best homes and are placed with a spay/neuter contract.
